Son of King Alfred Bluddë & Queen Sofia Bluddë, and heir to the throne of Heldrassë.

Erebus is a kind and shy child, uncomfortable in the public situations into which he is often placed. He rarely sees his mother, Queen Sofia, who is a virtual recluse in her chambers. He is increasingly cut off from the rest of the palace by the royal stewards, acolytes of the Red Church, and only his governess, Madame Beaulierre is there to keep him company.

He is devoted to his best friend, Maia Swanne, heir to the Emerald House, and his shyness often means that he allows Maia to get him into troublesome situations.
Erebus has a scar, running down from below his left ear, tracing beneath his chin, to the centre of his neck.

Rumour has it that this was a wound he received as a baby, when an attempt was made upon his life.

They walked along through the faded gardens for a while longer before Erebus asked, ‘Is your mother away too?’
‘She died when I was born,’ replied Maia bluntly, picking up a stick and idly swiping at the long grass.
‘My father died in a hunting accident a few months after I was born,’ murmured Erebus.
‘I know,’ she replied softly. ‘That’s why your mother became Queen. Miss Willow used to tell me about the coronation when we were back in the provinces. She said there was the biggest fireworks display she’d ever seen.’
‘I never really see my mother either,’ he muttered, stopping and staring up at the sheer walls of the White Palace towering over them. They were out of the walled garden now, in a small area of paddock, long overgrown with tall grass up to their waists. Ahead of them lay a dark line of ancient orchard, the rows of twisted trunks stretching right the way up to the palace walls.
‘She stays in her chambers in the north wing mostly,’ he continued, still staring up at the battlements. ‘I only see her during special occasions, and then I don’t get to talk to her.’
