Hi! It's been a difficult few months of illness for me, which has prevented me fromm getting much done. But things seem to be getting better, and with that I've realised just how brain-fogged my mind has been. I've found it so hard to concentrate, and now that I'm getting a bit more clarity I'm so excited to be working again!
So, I'm getting deep into Book Four of The Heavenfield. I'm managing to pull the story lines together a bit more, and also trying to flesh out some of the other characters to add a little more interest. I've got a little over 62,000 words copied up and more in the notebooks, so probably about two-thirds of the way through.

The biggest thing that is firing up my enthusiasm at present is the discovery of Midjourney AI. It is an artificial intelligence learning project that attempts to create images from text cues. So, if I add a description for a Heavenfield scene, such as 'vast creatures striding through an apocalyptic landscape', the system will try and come up with variations of this image in different styles that I suggest.
The results are just pretty staggering! Because the AI has no real human preconditions, it comes up with some totally alien results that suit the Heavenfield perfectly!

Some of the images are just ready to go straight away, but most of them are great assets for me to work up in Photoshop.
It's given me loads of inspiration, and I've got back into the Datavault, and will be adding the new images to that.
Here are a few images that have come straight out of Midjourney to give you an idea of the content.
All the best,
I G
