There are innumerable types of spacecraft throughout the inhabited systems.
Here is a small selection of those found in the Lumina stories.

...Ryann could make out the squat, ugly shape of the prison barge, rusted and battered, and saw that the remaining escort ship was an old converted Vanguard tugboat which was slowly turning to meet its surprise attacker. Ryann’s ship fell between the barge and the Vanguard like a screaming bird of prey.

 

There was a brief exchange of fire, and when Ryann turned back to the barge there was only an expanding cloud of debris where the Vanguard had been. He pulled close behind the ponderous bulk of the unmanned transport ship, searching for the spot Mellarnne had told him to fire upon.

 

“Ryann, there’s definitely something wrong with all of this!” yelled Angelique urgently. “I can’t get a reading on the transport at all — it’s as if our scanners are being jammed!”

 

“It’s just interference!” snapped Ryann viciously, his face contorted with blind anger. His eyes were wide and staring as he bore down upon the lumbering vessel.

 

“NO WAIT!” shouted Angelique, but it was too late.

 

Ryann pulled lightly on the trigger and a burst of laser fire spat across the gulf between the two ships. There was a brief flash, and then the entire view-screen lit up like the heart of a sun.

 

The Raven lurched violently in the shockwave of the terrible explosion and warning alarms blared crazily as the shields were breached. Sparks and smoke filled the cabin, but Ryann barely noticed. He stared in horror as the last few fragments of the prison barge burnt themselves to nothing in the void...
