Nearest to her, at the rear of the procession, just inside the entrance, was a deep swathe of blue, shimmering like the sea. These were the dresses and uniforms of House Sapphire, whose nobility had travelled from all across the kingdom of Heldrassë to honour the queen.
At the head of this group of some fifty nobles, Maia could make out Elisabeth and Ivy Avalorre, the twins, her classmates from school. They stood beside a splendid couple, who Maia assumed were their mother and father, Lord and Lady Avalorre, the rulers of the Sapphire House. The twins, as ever, were deep in an excited conversation together.
