Hi!

I took a couple of days off from work this week as I've been getting in a real story headspace and I wanted some time to write.

It's been such a wonderful time! And though I haven't managed to get nearly as much done as I would have liked, I've had a fantastic time working through everything I've done so far on Book 4 of the Circle of Souls.

The further I get into the story arc, the more tangled the threads become. Behind the story of Maia coming to learn about the hidden magic of her world, there are lots of characters plotting and manipulating the Great Houses, pushing old alliances towards breaking point.

It's been great fun to map out all these characters' story arcs, their motivations, and actions. While one character is doing one thing for their own personal gain, I have to remember how that interlinks with all the other characters' plans. And also, so many of the characters are not what they seem on the surface...

The world-building I've been doing in the background has really informed much of the story too, and I'm building up a huge load of back-story, almost to rival the Heavenfield Datavault. Looking forward to sharing it!

Episode Thirty-Four - The Wreck of the Divinity

Detective O'Connell is struggling to cope with life in hiding alongside the boy, Marko. But Yolena insists he must be kept hidden as both Exile and government forces will be hunting him in order to gain access to his powers.

 

Meanwhile, Captain Blake is trapped beneath Fury Outpost as the Scourer rages across the Maunsworth valley. But as he listens to the storm rage overhead, it seems that there may be unexpected benefits created amidst the destruction...
