Hiya!

I've managed to grab some time this week to work on Book 4 of the Circle of Souls. Mostly copying up from my notebooks, but I've also had some interesting plot ideas in areas where things have been a bit hazy.

The book is starting to feel as though it has a definite theme running through it now.

It's a real help that the first three books are still unpublished. It's given me a great deal of freedom to go back in to earlier parts of the story and tweak things to make them matchup better with how the story is unfolding.

Exterior pressures are beginning to cam down a little now that our bathroom renovation is about done. Leelu cat is getting much better too. She's been staying at the vets for the past week, and the hole in her leg where the metal pin showed through is closing up. We've had her back home over the weekend, but hopefully her bandage is coming off and she'll be almost mended. It's surprising what a stressful five weeks it's been so far.

In a way, it's been a nice escape to have the audiobook episode to work on - somewhere I can immerse myself in.

It's really interesting to go through this story again. Writing it was such a blur - 2,000 words a day for months until it was finished. It's getting a bit of a polish as I go, but I'm loving finding lots of details I'd half-forgotten.

Anyway, back to the release...

33 - The Mouth of Divinity

Captain Blake finds himself transported to the strange shores where he first saw the two vast creatures, somehow linked to the American flagships. But the Divinity creature is dying, and Blake cannot help but feel a strange connection to it.

He learns of the Scourer, some creature fed by his subconscious, that searches out for him beyond the shores.

And when the Scourer finds him, Blake's only choice is to flee to the dying creature of the Divinity...
